An introductory course delving into the field of counseling in light of Islam, classical, and modern-day perspectives. (First Friday of every month)
This course will help equip the seminary student with an introduction to the field of counseling. Topics covered will include a history of the profession from both a western and eastern perspective, practical skills and techniques for counseling community members, myths about counseling, and contentious issues in modern-day counseling and Islam.
