Certificate in Islamic Studies
The certificate program is designed for full-time college students, working professionals, stay-at-home adults, and life-long learners, enabling them to conveniently pursue Islamic Studies on a part-time basis. It is for anyone who wants to enrich their knowledge, understanding, and practice of Islam. The certificate program offers courses that will establish a foundational level of literacy in the major branches of Islamic Studies, including but not limited to theology, creed, Qur'anic studies, hadīth studies, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), spirituality, and history. Credit earned through the part time program can be applied towards the Associate’s degree. Classes can also be taken for personal enrichment.

Certificate in Arabic
IOK’s certificate in Arabic Language is designed for students who want to gain a deeper understanding of the Qur’ān and Sunnah through its native language. The goal of the program is for students to achieve an intermediate level of proficiency in grammar, morphology, and vocabulary that will help them read books with comprehension. The course will focus on providing students with the skills and tools needed to analyze and understand Qur’anic passages as well as read texts in Arabic without vowels. Applicants must be able to read the Qur’ān at an elementary level. The Program consists of four courses that are three trimesters each: LQA-101, LQA-102, LQA-103, and ARB-201
