Imam Nawawi’s collection of forty hadīth, which actually consists of forty two hadīth, is the most widely studied hadīth collection across the Muslim world. He selected those narrations that he felt covered the most fundamental concepts of faith and religion. His intention behind the compilation was to be considered amongst those described in the hadīth of the Messenger Muhammad, “May Allah cause to flourish a slave (of His) who hears my words and understands them, then he conveys them from me.” This course will cover a detailed explanation of each hadīth.
