Workshop Description:

The Friday khuṭbah is one of the most sacred and influential platforms in the life of the Muslim community. It is not merely a speech, but an act of worship, a trust (amānah), and a means of guiding hearts and minds through the words of Allah ﷻ and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ.

• The fiqh of Jumuʿah and the khuṭbah, including conditions, pillars, obligations, and common mistakes

• The role and responsibility of the khaṭīb as a religious leader and moral guide

• How to prepare a sound and balanced khuṭbah rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah

• Structuring a khuṭbah with clarity, coherence, and purpose

• Developing an authentic delivery style that is confident, composed, and spiritually grounded

• Engaging diverse congregations while maintaining scholarly integrity and pastoral sensitivity

Participants will gain both theoretical grounding and practical tools, making this workshop ideal for college aged students and working professionals who lead or aspire to lead Friday prayers on campus, in community spaces, or in the future as community leaders.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will walk away with a deeper appreciation of the sanctity of the minbar, a clear understanding of the legal and ethical framework of the Friday khuṭbah, and practical guidance on delivering messages that inform, inspire, and uplift the community.
