Course Description:

This class is designed for students seeking more than a surface-level explanation of the Qur’an. Together, we will explore Sūrah al-Kahf verse by verse through a balanced approach that integrates classical tafsīr, thematic analysis, and spiritual reflection (tadabbur)—bridging scholarly insight with lived relevance.

Sūrah al-Kahf speaks directly to the trials of faith, knowledge, power, and material success—challenges that are as urgent today as they were at the time of revelation. Through its four central narratives—the Companions of the Cave, the owner of the two gardens, Mūsā and al-Khaḍir, and Dhū al-Qarnayn—the sūrah offers a Qur’anic framework for navigating confusion, doubt, arrogance, and moral complexity in modern life.
