According to the Muslim scripture, the Qur’an, it indicates that people have been placed within various races and tribes for the purpose of being acquainted with one another. Part of this purpose is actualized by what is called “intercultural communication.” Participants have the opportunity to examine culture and communication from different perspectives and consider various factors that affect cultural, racial, ethnic and gender lines as well as issues like identities, values, beliefs, assumptions, and worldviews.
